Kathy Taylor Zimmerman is a free lance illustrator and designer residing in St. Petersburg, Florida. She and her husband John, operate SnookZGraphics which offers original art, advertising, murals and much more. Custom orders are always welcomed. She specializes n unique, whimsical design and marine gamefish, especially the elusive snook. Her art is original, one-of-a-kind and includes intricate hand-painted glassware, furniture, murals, illustrations, paper sculptures, bisque platters, calligraphy, packaging design and 3-D displays. Several local gift and specialty shops exhibit her work for sale.

Credits include an International Bronze Award for the 1992 Mainsail Art Festival paper sculpture, several Addy, FNAME and golden Image Awards. She designed the paper sculpture poster for the 1998 Taste of Pinellas. In March of 2000, Kathy designed the murals of marine and sea life on two buildings and a wall for The Pier Aquarium's Education Station on the approach to the pier in downtown St. Pete.

In 1999, she illustrated the book, The Wisest Teacher by Stacy Howlin Clark. In 2000, she designed 21 gamefish T-shirt designs for the retail stores Hurricane Pass located in Baywalk, William Short Clothiers, McMullen Booth and now in Channelside, Tampa. In addition, she has designed several packages and labels for Joyce LaFray's Famous FloridaŽ Key Lime Products including the new Mango line. Kathy recently designed former mayor of Tampa, Sandy Freedman's cookbook, "Specialties of the House, Recipes for People o the Go" and is currently working on illustrating another book for Elaine Shimberg, a noted author in association with the University of South Florida Nursing Department. She and her husband John are in several trade and art shows during the year especially the Frank Sargents Outdoor Expo at the fairgrounds in Tampa. There they have all of the items they offer including wood, carved furniture, bisque platters, hand-painted glassware and hand-carved wood. A former, twenty year veteran in the Creative, marketing Art Department of the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper, Kathy also teaches the bisque painting class on Thursday nights from 6-9 at Practically PIKASSO, an art studio at 6518 4th St. N
